SCOTT WEILAND Performs Solo Show In Indiana
September 9, 2006VELVET REVOLVER/ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS frontman Scott Weiland performed a free solo show Friday night (September 8) at the Legends of Notre Dame club in Notre Dame, Indiana. It was the first time Scott played his new solo songs "Killing Me Sweetly" and "Beautiful Day" live. It was also the first time he covered the MARSHALL TUCKER BAND track "Desert Skies". The setlist was as follows:

VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum recently told ABC Radio's ePrep that the band is on track to have its sophomore album, tentatively titled "Libertad", in stores in the spring. No producer has been chosen at this point, but the group has been speaking with Rick Rubin (AUDIOSLAVE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLAYER, SLIPKNOT),hoping to get him to come on board for the project.
